Hello everyone, this is not the Archfiend but today I'm gonna do something a bit different from the norm as this has been bugging me for quite some time ever since I first laid eyes upon it. Yes, I know we all love the shennanigans of our friend Rawbie aka LeisureSuitGaming and his feeble attempts to spark the epic flame war that occured around this time the previous year, well aside from those attempts falling flat on their face much like a sedated cat after a trip to the veterenarian, he's gone back to his old ways and rants on what we all know is his the center of his life: Video Games.

Now granted there's nothing wrong with liking video games at all, hell I'm prolly one of the biggest gaming nerds on the site but Mr. Rawb takes it a BIT too seriously. And if him releasing 7 or 8 reviews in a single day, which by the way are mostly of him playing the first level, dropping the F-bomb a few dozen times in a single sentence and overall just sucking it up isn't obsession, then I probably don't know what is. Keep in mind, I used to be a big fan of his mindlessly vulgar and brain numbing videos before he eventually went down the shitter with all of the flame wars, e-drama and eventually labeling himself as the "Five-Dolla Hooka" but of late, Mr. Rawb has been bugging me of late.

The latter of which is the focus of this rant because as most of us know, although he may not admit it, (correction: He'd NEVER admit it) Rawb is a PS3 fanboy and probably one of the most infamous on YouTube. Sure there are others but he was one of the first I've noticed. In his "Great Console War" video he goes on to saying how he owns a PS3, XBox360 and a Wii and how he likes PS3 the best out of the 3. In past videos I've seen of his most notably his Soul Caliber IV review (which I was unable to find, unfortunately) his fanboyism toward the PS3 really shows, but now he's trying to say despite he owns a 360 it still sucks. Oh and here's something that'll really getcha:

• @ 2:09 - Rawbie claims to have gone through 8 Xbox360s (in a span of how long he never really clarifies)
• He also claims that he's a guru of parenting knowledge, yet brings up XBL.
• He spends half the video ranting on the red rings alone.
• Is apparently the God of Halo and countless other games.

But I digress, if any of this were true I don't think his hatred of the 360 would be as big as it is, don't believe me, well I'll got point by point in his R.R.O.B. video:

• @ 0:29- 0:36 "The way I look at it is this: 10 years from now when we look back on the XBox360, are we gon- are we gonna look back on all the good games that it had?" Well I would assume so for those of us who actually play and enjoy the console and the games that it had, otherwise what would be the point of owning the console? Which in your case would be display only.
  
• @ 0:37-0:47 "Are we gonna look back on all the Fable 2s, all the Gears of Wars, y-ya know, a-all, every, every like Crackdown and all these other games that's come out on this thing, are we really gonna look back and remember those games?" You mean there was more than one Fable 2? Really? And again, of course people who actually played and enjoyed it will look back on this thing 10 years from now.
• @ 0:47-1:05  "No. The only thing we're gonna remember about the XBox360 is this: A Red Ring, flashing in your face as you turn on your console to play those games..." And I'm sure working at Staples and Gamestop has really enabled you to purchase and ship all of the 360 consoles you claimed to have had but we all know the reality of this.

It doesn't even end there, no he goes on to discuss what the "Red Ring of Death" is, even giving us a goofy image of something like this:

Now, look at this picture, Rawbie is correct in saying that this means a general console failure, in which case he'd be correct, but then goes on to claim that the cause of this general console failure is overheating. He would be wrong actually as system overheating would be indicated by Q1 and Q3 blinking red and can be fixed by the built in fans or external fans which can be purchased seperately.

What he doesn't know is that this particular error has to due with several issues with different hardware components, but he's been through enough 360s so surely he knew that already.

Moving on he makes the following comment:

• "...and when I'm reading the comments on my uh "Console War" video, I'm seeing wha- exactly what I'm talking about, about (Because saying it twice is doubly nice) XBox360 fans having no grounds on reality and living in their own little world..." This coming from the guy whose hatred of the 360 is so obvious, he made not 1 but 3 videos on it, two of which bash 360 fanboys. Who has no grounds on reality again?
  

And this one too:

• "One of the biggest things I've read was: "Oh, my console only failed 2 times. My console only failed once. My console only failed..." I mean do you people hear yourselves?" I am rubber, you are glue...I don't think I need to finish the rest? But wait, there's more: "Okay? "My console only failed 3 times." your console shouldn't fail at all, okay? It shouldn't fail at all. A console is gonna eventually fail, in the future..." Notice how he contradicted himself there, "Oh your console shouldn't fail but it's gonna fail eventually." make up your mind man! "...okay? But your console SHOULD WORK throughout the entire lifespan of the console..." The lifespan of a console also depends on it's popularity in the market or if the company in question isn't in development of something new and better, but you as a "gaming God" should already know this, not just because of hardware failures and such, hell the Dreamcast was pretty popular until bugs and other glitches plagued it to the point where Sega bit the dust, leaving behind only their software division. Feel free to correct me if you'd like. "...until the last game comes out, that console that you first bought when it originally came out should work." That's right because EVERYONE buys the newest consoles on launch day, save for the ones that have no interest or are unable to afford it at the time, but you having been through so many yourself can't really say that now can you?
  

He's so knowledgable about this he even goes as far as to say this:

• "And I've read a couple comments too about: "Well, you shouldn't play it all day and you should limit your playing and buhbuhbuhbuhbuh"..." Sounds like pretty logical advice to me, also, I love the last part, it at least helps him sound more coherant. "...you should be able to play that console as much as you want and if that's not the case then they should put it right on the box, that: "you should only play this console 1 to 2 hours per day because it's gonna fail because it's a piece of shit" it should be right on the box." And I'm sure your form of advertising worked well at Gamestop am I right?
• "I'm not buying a temporary console. I'm not buy a console that's gonna work when it feels like working." And yet you've supposedly bought 8.

For someone that claims to have a job, works his ass off, has a website that costs $5 to join, you sure must have a lot of time on your hands to not only play video games but to make pointless rants.

• "You should be able to rightfully 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and it should work just like a computer because, what is a XBox360 but a computer? Okay, it IS a computer, so I keep my computer on all day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and it's always on, it's always working, I don't see any fucking red rings on my fucking computer. Why doesn't the XBox360 work like that?" So, with that said shouldn't the PS3 work the same way? We could also argue that a computer has considerably bigger harddrive space, runs more programs simultaneously and does a variety of other things that a 360 has yet to be able to do. Where did this guy learn about the 360 anyway?

Look, there are a few reasons not to keep your 360 on all day everyday:

1. I'm sure not everyone is around to play it all day every day like you supposedly are.
2. You claim it overheats, so if you leave it on 24/7 it would more than likely cause the console to fail.
3. You run the risk of setting your place on fire with issue #2.
4. You'd have to pay a big ass electric bill, not that you know anything about that.
   

And that's just scratching the surface and he tries to back up this arguement by saying the following:

• "I still have my original Super Nintendo, my original N64, my original Playstation, my original Playstation 2, my original Gamecube, my original XBOX! Okay? I still have my original NES back from 1985, don't you fucking sit there and tell me you can't get this fucking console to work right..." Ugh...none of those consoles were ANYWHERE near as elaborate as the 360, OMG you're a retard.
  
• "And I know the Super Nintendo doesn't have any moving parts in it! I know that the fucking NES doesn't have any moving parts in it! But the Playstation 1 does! The Gamecube does! The Wii does! The original XBOX does! Why is it the console that Microsoft made in the last generation is still working when I play it all the time when this new console doesn't?" Maybe it's because none of them (except maybe the XBOX) has the same hardware?

There is a lot more to this story, but it's just more of the same, these are just some of the more interesting points he's tried to make. If any of them got through to anyone, it was more likely his fanboys that were so accepting of their All-knowing Gaming God. Now I know this'll probably make me look like a 360 fanboy but at the end of the day I really don't care. Just because I don't own a PS3 doesn't mean I don't like it, in fact some of the demos I've gotten to play have really gotten me wanting to get one. The only problem with this is, I've got more important things to get than a PS3 at the moment and don't really need one. So in the meantime I'll play my 360, my Wii and anything else that has happened to catch my eye. Anyway, that's it for this rant, maybe I'll touch on his console war video in the next rant I happen to do, if I decide to. Thanks for reading.

The RROD may be a big problem, but doesn't anyone remember the PS3pocalypse where every PS3 except for the slim had a huge malfunction and it caused numerous bricks, (brick: turning your console into something useless, making it just a big brick) plus, there is a problem on the wii as well, anybody remember the 4.2 disaster that caused bricks as well, theres even a wikipedia page about the wii bricking problem, also called the black screen of death

so lets face it, every system of this generation has its problems, we're talking about high end pieces of equipment here, they will never be perfect, and the only upside to every console having its problems, is that it provides hope that an exploit in the software code can be found to allow homebrew to spread

I agree Midnight. I like how he started the console war video saying he was going to be fair and look all the pros/cons for the consoles. Xbox 360 didn't have any pros according to him. He even dismissed Xbox Live because of "little kids". Last time I checked, you can block kids or even go to party chat with just your friends (ps3 can't). As far as I am concerned, Live is the thing that does well on 360 and the other consoles don't do well. I also noticed that it seemed like he was implying 360 fans were blind if they didn't think PS3 is better. I own all 3 systems and can say confidently PS3 definitly has some good exclusives but not good enough to make up for the system's shortcomings.

Also, I remember that Soul Calibur 4 review. He didn't actually review, he just kept going on how the PS3 version was better because of the boxart, Vader>Yoda, and the 360's dpad. As far as I am concerned, the only real point he had there was the dpad. But that really shouldn't matter since you know, THERE IS THIRD PARTY CONTROLLERS DURR! and tbh, it actually works really well with the 360's joysticks. Buying a game because of boxart? LOL! And about Vader:

1.Vader isn't even a good character

2.You can buy him off the 360 marketplace

3. Soul Calibur 4 didn't need the Star Wars characters.

@Jex64: Exactly. And something else that Robbie didn't take into account is despite the RROD is the main problem, there are other problems, which for me was the loss of video functionality. Yeah it sucked not being able to play but I didn't go off on a tangent saying the 360 sucked.

@Devil May Lol: Ah good someone who actually owns all 3 systems and plays them all equally, here here brother. But yeah, I'll probably do the console war video in my next rant on him because he contradict's himself so much in it. I only saw the SCIV review once and his PS3 fanboyism really showed there. Whoopdy do, two different versions of the same game had different boxart. Ohnoes! DPAD don't work in gaem!

Also I agree on Vader, not the best choice and really, all I care to do is spam his unblockable. LOL.

i got my 360 about a year or two ago and i have never seen the red ring. My 360 works fine, sometimes it doesn't read the disc on the first try, but it works fine. i guess that is because i don't play it all day long.

And he mentioned that his playstation still works and lists systems that last for a long time, but i had 2 playstations and they both broke (the part that holds the disc). All consoles will mess up if you don't use it correctly and im pretty sure it says in the manual to limit your time on the 360 to around two hours per day. Even the wii tells you to get off the system and go outside every once in a while.

I would have to agree with what you said, being a fanboy of a system is pretty dumb especially if you supposedly own all the systems anyway. thats almost as dumb as being an ff6 fanboy. (which is really the hate ff7 because it is too popular fanboys.)

I just saw his Killzone 3 rant and must say, He is a shining PS3 Fanboy. He literally said PS3 fanboys are smarter than 360 fanboys. I say, fanboys are all the same, always comparing exclusives and analyzing sales numbers/minor graphical differences of multiplatform games/ other stupid BS.

He also was saying that if you don't like Killzone, you are obviously a raging 360 fanboy. The guy is full of himself.

The wall of text. It hurts my eyes, but I do agree with you sage.

I'll admit, I agree with you somewhat Sage and I'll also admit this probably made me look like a raging 360 fanboy, which is untrue I assure you, I enjoy all consoles, each one has their own appeal. I also agree that PS3 is a good system, the quality of the games is stunning graphically and gameplaywise (not a word but who cares) however due to the lack of games that pique my interest I saw no point in owning one if it was just going to collect dust on my small ass entertainment center.

The point of the rant was really to point out contradictions and stupid remarks made in Rob's videos because despite he supposedly owns all 3 systems and has been through eight 360's (I highly doubt it) he is in all reality a PS3 fanboy and is doing a poor job at hiding it.

As far as him attacking the Wii is concerned, not like it hasn't been done already sure it might be last generation but if people enjoy it, who cares what others think? It's pretty much the same for every console. I know what I said contradicts everything but I really don't care. I just wish people can just play and enjoy consoles without having a glorified dick measuring contest over which is the best. This generation definitely is good but like all things, isn't perfect. While I don't necessarily agree with everything I respect your opinion nonetheless and was hoping for an opposing view TBH.

Some days, I'm this community's Mr. Rogers. Other days, I'm the sick,twisted bastard who uses a Mr. Rogers soundboard to prank call some innocent old lady about how she lost her kitty and I found her (...actually, I've never done that, but you catch my drift... too much ebaumsworld bullshit for me I guess). In any event, today I invite you all to be my neighbor as we venture off to see how Mr. Friday is doing, today.

Being broke and living in a cardboard box where I eat my gruel every breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack, I don't have much money to purchase modern games, so while I listen to my amazing friends discuss their latest digs on conference calls, I'm perplexing my patience by trying to get past that stupid motherfucking street night level in Wally Bear, or am trying to figure out which scares are worthwhile and how many of them I should buy in the Beetlejuice NES game (I still don't know how to beat what I consider to be the first boss, and unless I consult an FAQ, I just might never know). But srsly, the short of it is that I'm not the biggest modern gaming expert, but from judging what I know, all 3 major systems have their own unique purposes and I think it's great, so folks really need to learn to be tolerant and zip up their pieholes before spewing petty insults.

I blew $400 on an RE5 Limited Edition 360... played RE5 for a little, and the little red fucker kept freezing up on me, so who knows if I'll ever be able to beat it. I have the world's goofiest 360 collection (Bionic Commando... yeah rly I own that one?... Guitar Heroes II, III, two copies of Aerosmith, and Resident Evil 5), and the only modern system I have currently hooked up is my Wii. So either ignore me or enjoy me. Whatever. Either way, I love you all.

As I see it, if we're talkin' system wars between the 3 and 360:

- Most of the games that matter are multi-platform, and if I have a choice between the same game on different systems, I may as well pick up the copy on the system with superior specs, as long as the technology is used. Does it matter that much to me? Of course not... if you know anything about me, I'm this community's biggest retro geek (though I'm happy to say that I'm not an arrogant twat about it). But if I'm gonna pay, may as well get my bang for my buck. At the same time though, if I can only get the version on the other system, so be it, I won't cry that I can't see more of Snow's pubic hairs.

- The PS3's exclusives appeal more to me. LittleBigPlanet and MGS4 immediately come to mind--and with Star Ocean: TLH now being multi-platform from what I'm told, there goes the reason I bought my 360 in the first place.

- Yes, the 360 has a bunch of overheating issues--so does the 3. Both consoles are fragile. Beating up on one system for that while holding up the other high is very much pot, kettle, black, as I see it. Hell, I've known folks who bought 3s *brand new* and the fuckers wouldn't work, straight up, everything properly hooked up and everything! And I've also known responsible folks who've been through several 360s within a matter of, say, 2-4 years. That's the way it is. Nintendo seems to be the coolest about such things, though.

The Wii is peach and pie (or Peach baking a pie... mmm) to me. The best Nintendo exclusives since the SNES imo (Mario Galaxies 1 and 2, New SMB Wii, Wario Land, Mario Kart is much better than folks give it credit for, in my eyes... hell, and that's just the Mario universe), MadWorld, being able to play multi-platformers interactively (yeah I know about the stuff Sony and MS have been brewin' concerning that, though I haven't looked much into it)... hell, I got tennis elbow from Wii Sports, and I don't regret it one bit. Preference is subjective, all systems have faults, all people have faults, and fanbase stereotypes can be funny but when people take them seriously it's not worth the humor we can derive from them, so let's learn to love each other and have a good time.

Everyone should get what meets they're requirements,for example Midnight it would be stupid for me to yell at you now "OMG YOU TARD THE PS3 IS THE SHIT PHUCK XBOX SHIT SDFHSDFGHDFS!!11!" ,Rob is raging with fanboyism,i have to agree that i don't think that he has gone through 8 Xboxes i mean really?Did he brake 2 a year or something?By making vids with console wars you're just putting gas on the fire,you're just making it bigger and bigger basically calling fanboys to make a crap fest on the comments,if a fanboy says "Well PS3/Xbox 360/Wii is the best system EVA!" he is making a flawed statement from the beginning,will he still say that when the PS4/Xbox 360 2(or something like that)/Wii 2  will come out?Even if i won't see it happen i wish to see all the people get what is good for them and stop bitching at others for liking other stuff.Another thing i would like to see people treating games equally,you don't get to see so many vids about Monster hunter tri because bullshit like MW2 is here.
